- Verified customers concern. Scanned modules for codes – received P0304 (misfire cylinder 4). Tested the ignition coil for cylinder 4 – is bad. Knowing that worn spark plugs are the number one cause of coil failure we removed the spark plug and found it has a gap of 0.55", maximum spec is .043". Recommend replacing the spark plugs and ignition coil before diagnosis continues. Ok'd to proceed. After repairs we cleared the code and test drove without incident – vehicle ran properly and no codes set. .
- Installed new spark plugs and 1 ignition coil. Reassembled with a new plenum gasket. .
