- Driving the vehicle into the shop we verified exhaust noise and felt a strange vibration when driving. Hoisted for inspection. Exhaust pipe had blown apart right in front of the rear catalytic converter, appears that the converter itself is plugged and coming apart. While underneath we noted that the motor mounts have come apart and engine is now resting on the left front CV axle flange at the transaxle. Recommend replacing the rear catalytic converter and engine/transmission mounts. Ok'd to replace the motor mounts. Once we got the engine in alignment we found only the upper mount bad. Engine did damage the left front axle and the axle seal is leaking. Recommend replacing the left front axle and seal. .
