- When we received the vehicle the battery was completely dead but using a jumper battery the vehicle started – noted the battery light was on when driving into the shop. Tested the charging system – has no output. Verified alternator has battery power and ground. Recommend replacing the alternator before diagnosis continues. Ok'd to proceed. After repairs we retested the charging system – is operating properly putting out 14.1 volts. .
- Installed new alternator assembly. .
- Lights operating properly. Cabin air filters were very dirty – we replaced them. Battery tests good with 610 cold cranking amps, is rated at 500. Fluid levels full but brake and clutch fluids are very dirty. Engine air filter, belt, and hoses look ok. Front tires have 8/32 tread remaining and rears 9/32, 32psi. Front brakes appear to have 8mm remaining and rears 3mm – recommend a brake inspection next service. CV axles, steering, suspension, and exhaust appear intact. Reset service reminder. .
