When we received the vehicle the battery was completely dead but using a jumper battery the vehicle started – noted the battery light was on when driving into the shop. Tested the charging system – has no output. Verified alternator has battery power and ground. Recommend replacing the alternator before diagnosis continues. Ok'd to proceed. After repairs we retested the charging system – is operating properly putting out 14.1 volts. .
Installed new alternator assembly. .
Lights operating properly. Cabin air filters were very dirty – we replaced them. Battery tests good with 610 cold cranking amps, is rated at 500. Fluid levels full but brake and clutch fluids are very dirty. Engine air filter, belt, and hoses look ok. Front tires have 8/32 tread remaining and rears 9/32, 32psi. Front brakes appear to have 8mm remaining and rears 3mm – recommend a brake inspection next service. CV axles, steering, suspension, and exhaust appear intact. Reset service reminder. .

Replaced timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and idler pulley. Serpentine belt was worn out, along with the air filter, cabin air filter being dirty. Tech noted that the steering wheel begins to shake when braking, indicating the front brake rotors are starting to warp. .
Entering the vehicle we noted the TPMS light is on. Vehicles lights operating properly. Cabin and engine air filters were dirty – we replaced them. Battery tests good with 564 cold cranking amps, is rated at 600. Fluid levels full. Front brakes appear to have 8mm remaining and rears 6mm. Steering, drivetrain, and exhaust appear intact. Reset service reminder. .

Charged system to 22.8 OZ, and still no operation. Diagnosed system and found magnetic clutch on AC system has failed. Customer requests that we re-suction the system, and he'll replace pump himself, and will bring vehicle back in to be recharged.

Tires are like new with 12/32 tread remaining, 34psi. CV boots/axles are intact. Steering, suspension, and exhaust are intact. Small seep noted at the oil pan. No valve train noise noted. Evacuated system – was low. Kept under vacuum for 20 minutes. Recharged to factory spec and ran the air conditioning – compressor is not engaging. Went to test for power at the compressor and found it unplugged. Plugged compressor in and now the air conditioning operates properly. .
